This is the design that made me feel the most insane. I thought, "What the fuck kind of animal would Logmore be??"

Rat/mouse was not an option. So I took on a different approach and started looking at BUGS.

I considered stick bugs initially, but shut that idea down quickly when I realized how gimmicky that was, to turn a "log" into a "log bug" if you may. I looked instead at the praying mantis, which was a more fun starting point to draw.

But then "mantis" turned into "rainbow mantis shrimp" as I decided my heart knew what Logmore represented best: that weird crustacean known for throwing one of the fastest punches in the animal kingdom.

Cool. Alright, now give that man 4 arms.

And giving him 4 arms was probably the best decision I'll ever make out of all of these fursonas.

Eventually I settled on this design below and it stayed this way while I worked on the others - but I changed a lot of colors in the final product.

I cared a lot about posing the final design with action in mind, which is a big step for me. Learned a lot!

And I promise you when I say this is the design with the most "thinking" I had behind it. Logmore's species had to be the weirdest, I wanted that to remain stagnant. :)

So this came out of nowhere into my recommended, and I got swept in by the superb kissing. The kissing👌

After a little digging, I found out it's a Korean BL webseries which is framed like a series of Youtube vlogs. I had no idea at first if I was watching something candid or produced. It feels like a mixture of both. Pretty clever idea I have to say because it's hard to tell what's scripted and what's done on the fly. Makes the acting feel really natural.

Each vlog (aka episode) is only 10 minutes long, so short and sweet.

How fortunate am I to have so many Things to love and be excited about, to appreciate and look forward to?

Things I feel so strongly about that they stumble into my mind, univited, at random times of the day? Things that spill into my speech and vocabulary without me noticing? Things that impact my vision to the point where everywhere I look, everywhere I go, I see ghosts of them?

How lucky am I to have so many Things I love and cherish enough for them to reshape my very person, change my beliefs and make me grow? Things that make my own loved ones see the Things out in the wild, and go out of their way to make sure I see them too?

How wonderful is it that I have Things that I love so much that the very act is deemed and dubbed "not normal", making my love for them seem like it's more than they are supposed to recieve? An out-of-the-ordinary and above-the-norm appreciation for the Things that make the people around me shake their heads, call me "silly".

where does the idea that the avatar looks like the previous avatar's love fall on the spectrum

at first i was gonna put it as unintentional but the novels giving yangchen a water tribe love interest makes me feel like at the very least f.c. yee saw the theory and incorporated it on purpose. everything else could've just been a coincidence where they happened to give two characters love interests from the next element in the cycle (rangi, katara) and design two characters similarly (aang & ta min) but with the yangchen novels in the mix it's just too many coincidences, especially bc i know that theory was floating around before the yangchen novels (maybe even the kyoshi novels too)

that said i don't really find it compelling. it's cute i guess? doesn't really add anything for me. it's not bad but i don't have strong feelings about it. except maybe that i don't really see it with ummi & kyoshi and i think maybe the roku & rangi and korra & katara things are just that they're from the same nation and have the same basic coloring. like it's a show with zero white people made for an english-speaking audience that includes a lot of white fans. there's a possibility that a fan theory based on characters looking alike might be wrong

Also Artem, who is apparently Mr. hobby collector extraordinaire according to canon, worrying he will be bad at this activity because it involves being relatively creative is so funny to me. He has no confidence in creating anything that lacks a step-by-step guide. He hates things being open to interpretation.

(Good thing Lukie is so eager to help people make things. You could walk into the shop and ask what he’s gonna do to repair your antiques and he would show you and let you help if you want. I would love to see him interact with Artem more! Then again, there would also be the interesting dynamic created at the begging of the game where Luke urges Rosa to decline his offer to join the NXX. The possibility of that tension! Anyway.)

Like?? I need to sit in on one of their tutoring sessions.

Also, this past chapter that was released was super tense in terms of inter-NXX relations, so it’s fun to see them get along as well as they can, but then there’s the lingering undertone that the four of them don’t feel they can trust one another at all. I’m super excited for chapter 10 >:)

The situation that resulted in us ending broadcast early on Thursday turned out to be a trigger. Neutral, fortunately; but it's parked front firmly in a cluster related to our childhood and those semi-unearthed feelings.

As such, we're working on a reduced roster, and with emotions I'd consider a little more volatile and unbalanced than we'd like.

I thought I had quite a good hold on it, but these feelings of directionlessness and overwhelm have begun to hit at the same time; unrest, mixed with craving for a well-rested state that we haven't experienced in years.

Monday couldn't come soon enough, and yet I fear its approach.

I’ve never really cared about grades so my system of grading might be hinky but I think in the past year of tackling my health issues and recovery, or whatevery this epoch will be named, I’d give myself a solid B. But I do not want to make the phone calls I need to make. It’s not a phone aversion it’s just that it’s all little threads of follow up questions and I don’t feel mentally organized enough. Yet? Ever? I’m supposed to rest all day tomorrow after my lumbar puncture. Maybe I will make the calls then. I usually try to leave things better for the future but Ha! HAHA! Haaaaha!
